There are several interesting and historic towns all within a 15 to 30 minutes drive: including Dolgellau (the gateway to the mighty Caidir Idris), the beautiful golden sandy beaches at Bartmouth and Porthmadoc (Black Rock sands), the historic castle at Harlech, and the wonder that is the 'Italian' Village at Porthmerion, forever associated with the 1960's/70's cult classic TV series 'the Prisoner'.
