The Sappers Suspension Bridge is a charming and historic bridge located in Betws-y-Coed, a picturesque village in Eryri  National Park, Wales. This bridge, built in 1930, replaced an earlier wooden bridge constructed by Royal Engineers (known as “Sappers”) during World War I to provide access to an army camp.

To get to the Sappers Suspension Bridge from the car park:

  1. Exit the car park towards the stone barn with ‘Information’ on it.

  2. Turn right and go through the white gate marked ‘Private Road’ and 'Royal Oak Farm.

  3. Follow the path until you reach the bridge.

It’s a short and scenic walk, perfect for enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Betws-y-Coed.
